Unlike other enemies, they will have a name and an HP bar. Here are the bosses we’ve encountered in Core Keeper thus far and our tips for beating them.

Standard type character is strongly recommended over hardcore, for all players. It is also recommended that new players start in a normal mode world. Hard mode currently doubles the health and damage of all enemies and bosses, for little to pelo pay-off.

Hunger: How hungry you are. If you're too hungry, you'll suffer some stat penalties. If you're stomach is full, you'll get a "Well Fed" buff that boosts your stats for a short time.

Food in Core Keeper has two main purposes – keeping you alive by restoring HP and reducing hunger and giving you helpful perks like extra armor or the ability to glow.

However, you can’t hold a torch and mine at the same time, so it’s best to replace this light source as soon as possible.

Take it slowly at first, and don’t rush into combat. You’ll eventually be able to craft armor, but don’t prioritize that over keeping the rest of your tools in good working order.

Excellent game. As you probably know, it's basically a top-down version of Terraria or Minecraft, but in my opinion vastly superior to both. Minecraft has hideous visuals, while Core Keeper is beautiful to look at. Terraria has the infuriating issue of being CONSTANTLY bombarded by enemy attacks, always Core Keeper Gameplay preventing you from doing what you are trying to do. Core Keeper, conversely, is much more respectful of the player, typically allowing you to engage enemies on your own terms. It's also easier to prevent enemies spawning where you don't want them to be. So you have the freedom to build a house, craft items, farm animals and plants, and cook food without being constantly bothered (unless you set up your base in a spot with a lot of enemy spawn tiles, but you can remove those to "cleanse" it anyway as mentioned above).

Snaking my way from one clearing to the next was super fun, even if the actual controls (I mainly played on a gamepad) are so simple. If you’re the type of player who revels in simplicity, this could be your crafting game.

Off-Hand Ability: Equipped off-hand items (such as Shields) will have a special ability that can be activated by pressing this button. Some items have a cooldown which is indicated by the bar below the icon.

Aside from selling supplies, the Bearded Merchant sells items that can be used to re-summon certain bosses such as all giant slimes and Ghorm; you simply need to purchase these items and place them on the boss' rune to get them to reappear. Feel free to farm the bosses for fun and profit if you want!
